I saw FU-2 play at Zero 6 and I saw Helen of Troy at a Dead Kennedys gig at the Music Machine a little while after. Unfortunately, I was very drunk and kept trying to tell her that I saw her in U2 and she kept saying "Fu-2!" and I kept thinking "charming!".

Ah excellent - when roughly was the Zero 6 gig and how was it? There's not much info about FU-2 out there and I wasn't sure how long they lasted? I think maybe 1977-1979? Love their songs and Helen's voice I must say!

I lived near Phil Stark, the drummer and roadied for them one night at shrimpers. Met Helen that night too. Prob '78 or early '79. Ended up buying two massive bass bins from Honkey Tonk Music that belonged to F-U2 for the Squats/Icons.
