'Breaking The Rules' is an exhibition that represents a mixture of the past and present - local young people utilising the latest technology to shed light on the past. Over the course of 6 months, Jonathan from Relate has been working with 4 different institutions across Southend - Futures Community College, Focus Connexions, The Priory School and The Chase High School. Exploring such movements as the Mods and the Rockers, Hippies, Punks and New Romantics, you can expect to see the past come back to life with a treasure trove of historical colour featuring interviews conducted by the young people, memories through photographs and interactive maps, a collection of donated vintage clothing and the launch of the project website where all the hard work done by the young people will be assembled. - Press ReleaseThe Exhibition details are:The Beecroft Art Gallery - April 25th - June 20th - 2009 Opening Hours: 10am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm (Tuesday - Saturday) Location: Station Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex SS0 7RA Tel: 01702 347418 For Further Information, please visit: www.southendpunk.com/html/breaking.htmlwww.breakingtherules.org.uk/
