Hey Dave, have to agree, the punk rock advent calendar is amusing (http://southendpunk.proboards83.com/index.cgi?board=offtopic&action=display&thread=316) Jenny Lens is certainly a key punk photographer and has done a brilliant job documenting those amazing early years of punk on the west coast of the US. There certainly were some amazing shows at The Masque in LA and The Mabuhay Gardens in San Francisco, two key venues that richly deserve their place in punk history. Jenny's website should be mentioned (http://jennylens.com/), and I looked at a DVD the other day ('Punks Not Dead' - www.punksnotdeadthemovie.com/) and she was interviewed about the early LA Punk scene, and there is a great feature on The Masque Club on the disc.

I've been meaning to pick up Punk's Not Dead Steve I'll put it on the Christmas list - she was telling me she hardly makes any money out of her pics (well not what she should) and like most of the punk originals got stiffed and ripped - which is why she's gone digital PS found another great site today Santastic 4, featuring 18 free bootleg remixes with a festive flavour including a couple of Ramones ones www.santastic4.com/
