One of the Regular things I used to do on Saturday (apart from the Toothbrush) was a trip up and down the Kings Road. Most of the punk period shops and places have changed or gone now Chelsea Drugstore is now McDonalds!!! Boy is Adhoc The Roebuck Pub is a trendy bar and Grill But Worlds End is still there at 430 Kings Road One thing tho', I cant work out where the Great Gear Market used to be I know it was after Safeways / Chelsea Drugstore, on the same side. And am sure it was before Boy, possibly just past the Chelsea Potter pub?? Any Ideas on the exact location ? I know it used to have all the combat gear, bullet belts as you first went in. Cafe in the middle and down the steps. Dodgy looking leather shop at the backside and Tik and Tok used to have stall over the other side. My Guess is its now Antiquarius, but am a bit confused

I agree Spacehopper - the Kings Road was an essential part of Saturdays for a certain period - starting out at Sloane Square, walking down to Boy, then to the Beaufort Market, that housed the infamous Smutz stall, then walking down to Seditionaries. I remember going in there several times and it had more impact on me than many concerts - a very atmospheric place and Vivienne was always so nice.
Regarding the Great Gear Market, I remember it being on the same side of the road as Boy, before you got there. I think Antiquarius would be a good guess for it now, but recently a friend and I drove down there and it's hard to believe it's the same place...it's so bland now it almost doesn't exist!
Tik and Tok I remember - I associate them with Kahn and Bell.
One final distant memory of the Kings Road was the Sid Vicious memorial march there in 1980 - quite an event!
