'Typical Girls? The Story of The Slits' by Zoe Street Howe is an excellent read and is hard to put down. Its key merit is that it inspires one to seek out those elusive Slits rarities not yet in the collection! Zoe manages to tell the Slits story with a degree of separation from the events, whilst clearly empathising with The Slits cause. For anyone interested in the band I'd thoroughly recommend it, and suggest a playing of their Peel sessions immediately! For further Information please visit: www.southendpunk.com/html/typicalg.html
