A friend recently came into possession of a demo tape from a band called 'Watch With Mother' from the Southend area, and the tape is circa '79/'80.
I don't know them and wondered if anybody here does? On the demo there are three songs:
1. Psycho Killer (Talking Heads cover) 2. Atom Bombs and Human Beings 3. Optimum Population
The contact name one the tape is Michael White from Leigh if this helps.

Bizarrely enough my next door neighbour Jan used to be the singer of Watch With Mother, but I also used to know her at school... To the best of my recollection they formed at Cecil Jones High School circa 1977, As I recall they were into kind of Yes influenced prog-rocky stuff, but the Talking Heads cover would suggest a wider set of influences... They later became Widervision, and did a few gigs at the Zero 6 IIRC, and i gave them some coverage in New Crimes. Jan later got quite involved in the music business I beleive, and was a one time a member of one incarnation of The Thompson Twins.
