Southend Punk was saddened to hear of the passing of Vocalist Terry Hall, aged 63. (19th March 1959 – 18th December 2022). Terry was the frontman of The Coventry Automatics in 1977–78, who became The Specials in early 1979. Legendary songs such as 'Gangsters', 'Concrete Jungle' & 'Ghost Town' have secured their legacy for successive generations. Terry later played in several bands including Fun Boy Three, The Colourfield, Terry, Blair & Anouchka and Vegas, as well as undertaking a solo career before The Specials reformation in 2008.
