This Julian Temple/ Dr. Feelgood film has its premiere soon, a couple of weeks maybe, then has a week at the MovieStarr on Canvey Island itself.

....................and collaborators Jools Holland and Alison Moyet to tell the story of Canvey
Ha Haa! I look forward to Alf's 'input' having spent all of 5 minutes on Canvey during her very brief spell with The Vicars!!
Why not collaborate with some of the locals (born and bred on the Mud) who grew up with the Feelgoods, were inspired by them, worked with them and spent endless hours drinking and partying with them?. Surely that would have had more credence in a film about the band, than a brief 'reminisce' worth tuppence ha'penny from a famous name/face who happened to 'pop-in' on the way through to the 'top the of pops' grand scheme of things?
Have we lost sight of what PUNK was all about?

If Julien Temple didn't have the sense to get in touch for the real story of the Feelgoods then, why not do it yourself or find someone who fancies having a go ? Camcorder, PC video editing suite, storyboard if you think that will help, music might be tricky because of copyright but apart from that, should be doable.

Dim,
I'm not saying that he hasn't had the sense to get in touch with the right people to get "the real story of the Feelgoods" as you say, only that there maybe one or two people used (for obvious reasons) to try and add some publicity to the project!!

And a 3/4 page feature in The Echo tonight (tuesday) around the premiere at the NFT as part of the London Film Festival, presume it will also be online.

In The Echo the other day, it is showing on Canvey but, not until February, tickets can be booked from the Moviestarr through their website.

Looks like one of the showings is followed by a Julien Temple interview and a Wilko Johnson concert beamed in from somewhere.

Looks like Odeon are showing it nationally on the 2nd, someone has been doing the business selling the thing, now all we have to do is go along.
