Thanks for the offer Stewart, but we're ok on those, as Dave Tulloch, Strange Stories co-founder, Machines co-manager and Van Gogh promoter has already helped out there.
The most elusive Strange Stories none of us have though and we are looking for is issue #4, so any help with that will be much appreciated!

Happy days... I don't have it, but I did the cover for that one. I copied a picture of Thor from one of my old Marvel comics and did a very 'SS' Strange Stories logo. Richard bought me a pint of Guinness in recognition of my effort (I thought I'd get at least a fiver), and then he had to re-outline my fine work with a sharpie so it would show up in print.
I know my old mate's still got it, I'll try & get him to scan & send it to you.

Yes, I do have it, and a couple of others (2, 3 and 6, I think). Give me an email address and I'll send you a scan of the cover, as Tony suggested.
He'd tell you it is a marvellous work of pop-art, but as he's just admitted his plagiarism, we'll have to discount that. Still SS's best cover, in my view.

Hey Sue... Like Mark says....hope you've had a good 28 years. Mark & I still correpond regularly, but there's a big mileage between us now, so we don't see each other as much as we used to. Clearly, show business wasn't our destiny - despite the both of us still looking as fresh-faced as we ever did - or you'd have been keeping up with our antics in Hello! magazine. You know, I'm flattered that ANYBODY remembers The Germans, I only hope that the memory has clouded how genuinely awful we were. I've got very limited access to pictures here (at work), but I'll try this.... That's my family, and... That's the same family, but with me in it. Note - the one who looks like my dad, is in fact me.

Hello Tony and Mark! Obviously I remember The Germans. fine upstanding gentlemen that you were. I have to say you look almost exactly the same as when i last saw you. I confess I have possibly all the originals of the photo shoots the pair of you did for the Vandals in the town centre and some of you and mark in my possession too, or have you got them too? because I feel a bit guilty about that.

I guess I haven't changed much. I looked like a 45 Year old duffer, even when I was 17.
I think Mark has copies of those photos too, but I haven't seen them for ever!
It'd be fun to see them again - also to see how the Town Centre looked at that time, pre-mall, pre-Lakeside, and with Halfords where it belonged.

Cripes - Tone, you seem to have forgotten to take your hair to Canada with you!
Steve just called in to return my negs of those same Vandals shots, which he has just had scanned. Sue - look out for updates of his Vandals section soon.
There's a shot looking towards Marks & Spencer from the escalator - looks just like Throbbing Gristle cover art.
I'd love to see any photos you might have, as would Steve, who is trying to ferret out as much material from those happy days as he can. I expect Tony would like to see anything of him with hair.

haha - I haven't even had a wild life to blame for my hair-based shortcomings.
Is M&S still there in Bas?
That pub at the top of said escalators was where Richard bought me the Guinness that got me to design that cover, which got me to contribute to this thread in the first place.
A perfect circle.

The Highway - you'd have fitted in there more with your new look - as I recall it became a notorious skin hangout.
Talking of which; by coincidence I came across your hair living rough in Library Gardens on Saturday. A sad sight it looked too, swigging from a bottle of Grecian 2000 concealed in a brown paper bag. I took pity on it and have applied to the Canuck embassy for a visa, in the hope it can one day be reunited with your swede.
