Micvicdab, dont be fooled by the 'smoke and mirrors' trickery of this thread, remember...better the bird in the bush when there are too many cooks calling the pot black. ooops used the B word....not PC at all...im off to 'Huh'....its a place where everyone knows your name!

Point taken Filf, but what you fail to realise is that "Huh" has become, to its participants, like a well loved pair of old bondage strides, too comfortable and too familiar. "Anabdab" has aeanisthetised you lot with his well written but ultimately souless posts. "Poor old Alison" is a far more democratic and forward looking thread, with some great fresh ideas for the future. The brilliant new agony column "Dear Micvicdab" should be up and running shortly, whereas "Dave the raves" "how to mend a puncture on your motorbike" page will be available forthwith, you quite simply don't get these services on "Huh".

I need someone to second me , and I can mount a challenge to the leadership in "Huh". I hereby register a vote of "No confidence" in Anabdab, and give notice of my intention to run as as "Thread leader".

Mr Rickprey!... why are you advocating a return to that doomed thread? I thought The Prey was a bunch of total loonies, was last time I saw you. I can't believe you can't see that Poor ld Alison" is the way forward!!

You see...this thread is only 2 pages old and already we have people in here drinking that yellow crap. Next you know there will be in-depth conversations about Hush Puppies and cordroy trousers! I think its time for mediation...there is no point in going to war with 'Huh', if we joined forces and formed a Super Power, just think of the posibilities. But whatever happens, we need to act fast or Anabdab is gonna know we've been in here and will be a bit sus.

I Agree War 'Huh' what is it good for, i would, if asked lend my full suport to anyone who wishes to stand as leader to this Super Power and indeed raise a glass Of Creme de menthe in a toast to said leader.......Cheers.

Well, they've had a whip round and it tops even a good night at Scamps. Was a good night, violin and double bass sounded good and vey nice occasional backing vocals, singer wasn't bad either.
Alison, you mentioned Yazoo touring, not coming down here though, surely the obvious thing to do, 1 Basildon girl + 1boy = The Cliffs Pavilion. Clear away the seats in the stalls and it could be the best disco in town for the night, even better than Raquels.
How much do you pay that band of yours a night, a neat trick would be to tell them to learn "Shame shame shame", "Good good loving" or whatever (it's not a democracy they don't have a choice) so that when you say "Any requests" and "River deep mountain high" comes back, you can play the thing, you know it's going to happen, slip it in between "Come together" and "Only you", would work a treat and be very much appreciated by a few of us.
See you next time.
