Southend Punk was saddened to hear of the passing of old friend Julian Ware-Lane. For a long time now Julian has been known as a campaigner for social justice in his role as Labour Party Councillor, but for many of us whom first met him in the late '70's/early '80s he will be forever known to us for his roles in several local bands whom rehearsed, played live and recorded in the area.
A list of many of the bands Julian has been involved with would include:
86-Mix, the OPEN club, The Solicitors, As Yet Untitled, The Stripey Zebras, Captain Strange, Dark Deeds On A Lonely Bridge, The Didactic Pragmatic Dialectical Materialists, Introduction To British Economics, The Crowd, The Italian-Belgians, Schizophrenia, Enola Death, The Aphids, Autumn Poison, The Children Of Rarn, Collar And Tie, Gormless Wally and Shit, Sean and the Humans, Leon and the Wasps, Warty Hubbard, Stephen and Jules, Dr Pretorius and the Lazy Sluts, The Get
R.I.P Julian
