If you could select 3 gigs/albums/singles/bands/people/venues/events/quotes, or whatever, to describe what Punk was all about, what would they be? Only 3, so choose wisely!

I would select A, D and E. Add the occassional Bm and you`ve pretty much got the whole punk repertoire.

1. Bill Grundy interviews the pistols. Pouring petrol on the fire! It killed the Anarchy tour but it rocked the world in all the right ways. 2. Pistols release NMTB. The benchmark LP for punk. Shame it never seems to feature in the best album ever charts as it really was the catalyst for all that followed. 3. Clash release 'White man', reminded us that much as we loved 'white riot' punk was about change and being different.

Bang on filf, I can't fault ya old lizard, But never forget who lit those fires that the pistols chucked petrol on, in England at least, The Feelgoods and the Hot rods opened the doors old hombre, good canvey Island boys!!!!

Did you see that doc about the ramones on MTV the other night?.....Brilliant!!!, A chap , I think his name was Hilly Cristal, said "Punk came about cos people were under the misguided impressioin you could imitate these guys" meaning the Ramones, he wasnt far wrong, All those downstroke eight notes, wot a band!!!
