Does anybody remember the Mod festival on two tree Island in late 1979? Technically it was a Scooter Festival I think but there was loads of mods there. I was a hippy in those days, as was Martin Hardy, even though he had a Scooter, but we went along anyway and camped, it was great fun, I mainly remember The Leapers playing in the Marquee, and Paul Eves taking all his clothes off and shinning naked apart from his Pork Pie hat up the Central pole - not a pretty sight!

Hi again graham !! Yes i remember that.........i briefly got out of Punk in 79 as i thought it was getting commercial (although quickly got back into it about 6 months later, re-freshed and re-juvenated) and hang around with Guy Roberts and Sully for a while. Remember going there with guy and "speeding" my nuts off. Another great memory

Viking mods from upt north, burning cars, and policemen. An older mod called Splaney fighting them off with a scaffold pole. the worst gig we ever did! More speed than Le Mans. Everyone chewing their faces off. Ahh happy memories. Hello to all. Pete H (the Leepers) x
