Plans have been afoot for a while to release a compilation CD featuring Southend Punk bands of the era.
Many resources have been found, although some still remain elusive.
If anyone has copies of The Spurts and School Bullies original demos, then please get in touch via the usual Southend Punk contact address.

Plans for the CD continue - tracks are currently in by The Machines, Kronstadt Uprising, The Sinyx, The Psychopaths, The Prey, Death Obsession, Idiot, The Vicars and many more.
The first Spurts demo from '78 is still sought, as will be tracks by The Burning Idols, Stax Century, The Bullies and more.
Finances are being raised and further details will be announced soon. The lable will be a new one set up by Southend Punk specifically to release this CD, along with other bands from the era down the line.

Steve, great idea. Let me know if you want any Icons tracks. i have them on cassette and master reel, but not sure of the quality as its been around the world 4 times and stuck in my attic for the rest of the years!

Great to hear from you both and yes, I think there certainly should be Burning Idols and Icons tracks on the compilation! Have a think about what you'd like to include and send me the tracks to the Southend Punk email.
Its taking a while to get all the resources for the compilation tracked down, but we're slowly getting there!
