Sir AL, remember SID,s punk club at Zhivagos! As much atmosphere as the moon on half day closing! I remember doing an Autumn Poioson gig at SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome?? A bit tasteless surely???) supporting Kronstadt, everybody f**kin hated us!! Not surprising as we were doing this whole 'challenging the punk stereotype' thing at the time wearing hawainan shirts etc whilst playing wannabe Crass style and somewhat moralistic sub-anarcho-punk. And not only did we get booed by the crowd but we also got threatened and abused by the disco-boys in the main club when carrying out our amps and stuff back to the van... Ah happy days!

Hello everyone, I've finally got around to joining this site. I loved those days we all spent hanging about on The Green. I remember getting demijohns of cider from Prestos, drinking them, then going back and getting the pound deposit back. Slug wearing his entire T-shirt collection at the same time. Polly- with such ragged trousers- he looked like he was wearing a grass skirt. You knew, most times, if you wandered along there- there'd be someone you knew, to sit there and have a drink with. I've still got a program from the football match in Priory Park between the Armless Teddies XI and the Threshold XI.. Yeah- good days- I miss sitting round the flower beds in the High Street too- it was loads better the way it was laid out then- to what it's like now. Bill
